Minnie Howard Allman, age 49 of Canada, Kentucky, formerly of Martin County, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Born February 26, 1966 in Williamson, West Virginia to Willie Howard and the late Ethel Stacy Howard. In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by two nephews, Kyle Evans and Justin Howard; and one great niece, Alaina Dotson. In addition to her father she is survived by her husband, Donald Allman of Canada, Kentucky; one son, Bryan Chaz Kulik and wife Tresa of Hatfield, KY; one stepson, Jesse Matthew Allman of Chillicothe, OH; one daughter, Tiffany Brooke Kulik and fiance Christopher Jordan Hunt of Canada, KY; two stepdaughters, Ashley Dawn Hartsough of Columbus, OH, Jamie Michelle Allman of Dunlow, WV; three brothers, Jobie (Melanie) Howard of Pike County, George (Betty Jo) Howard of Pike County, Randy Howard of Martin County; three sisters, Rodean (James) Dye of Martin County, Ada (Carlos) Barton of Martin County, Bertha (Joe) Robinson of Pike County; one stepsister, Mary (Roger) Wallen of Floyd County; three grandchildren, Jacob Dewayne Kulik, Chaz Jeremiah Kulik, and Preston Hartsough; stepmother, Matilda Stepp Howard of Canada, KY; and mother-in-law, Ann Arnold of Chillicothe, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Buck Branch United Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Stacy Cemetery at Kermit, West Virginia. Virgil Fletcher of Nats Creek, in Lawrence County, Ky. formerly of Wolfcreek, in Martin County, Ky. passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home. Our precious Daddy, went to sleep peacefully with his beautiful bride of 58 years looking on. Daddy served our living God for over 28 years as a Christian to make heaven his home, so he could be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Daddy was a faithful member of the Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church his entire Christian life and was honored to have served as treasurer for over 25 years.
Daddy was such a hard working man. He retired from the Marrowbone Development Company in 1993 after 39 years of public employment, with the majority of his work as a surface coal miner and logger.
Daddy was preceded in death by his first born Eugene "Blue" Fletcher, his parents Robert (Bob) W. Fletcher Sr. And Susie (Blackburn) Fletcher, three sisters Edith Jude, Alice Delong and Polly "Podd" Jude and infant twin brothers Tommy and Johnny.
Daddy is survived by his beautiful wife Mabel (Jude) Fletcher, seven children and their spouses that he thought of as his own. Jimbo and Irene Fletcher, Mary and Clayton Lawson, Butler and Mary Fletcher, Bobby and Sherry Fletcher, Ronnie and Ginger Fletcher, Annie and Russell Collier, and Bonnie and Marc Fitch. four brothers; Elias , Willis, Robert (Cat) and James Fletcher all of Pilgrim,Ky. one sister; Pauline Preece of Pilgrim,Ky. Daddy leaves behind 19 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren that were his pride and joy!
Daddy will be at the Sidney Old Regular Baptist Church Friday evening after 5pm through to the time of the funeral on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 1:00p.m. Tom Dials, Kenneth B. Jude, Billy Joe Robinson and Dewey Jude will officiate. Nightly services will begin at 7pm. The burial we take place at the Virgil and Mabel Fletcher Family Cemetery at Nats Creek in Lawrence County Kentucky.

Emma Jean Block, age 58 of Kermit, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Williamson Hospital in Williamson, West Virginia.
She was born on May 3, 1956 in Williamson, West Virginia to the late Vess and Arizona Spaulding Marcum of Jennies Creek in Kermit, WV. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Newsome, Lola Justice, and Liddy May Marcum; and one brother, Flem S. Marcum.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Ray Block of Kermit, WV; one son, Arthur Ray (Carol Sue) Block of Crum, WV; one grand daughter, Autumn Block of Crum, WV; one grandson, Austin Block also of Crum, WV; five sisters, Jennettie Muncy of Jennies Creek, Marie Jude of Beauty, KY, Rosetta (Jimmy) Alley and Verlie (David) Brewer both of Jennies Creek, Ollie Fay (Danny) Spaulding of Inez, KY; four brothers, Cecil Marcum of Prestonsburg, KY, Kessler (Bonnie) Marcum of East Kermit, WV, Johnny (Pam) Marcum of Jennies Creek, and Landon (Teresa) Marcum of Crum, WV; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Perry Point Church on Jennies Creek with burial to follow in the Block Cemetery on the Left hand Fork of Marrowbone. Warnie James, age 84 of Louisa, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at his home. Born January 26, 1931 in Martin County, he was the son of the late John James and Cora Ward James. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Emma James {Nov. 6, 2014}; six brothers, Chester, Russell, Kelly, Jim, Frank, and Cecil James; and two sisters, Elverna Spaulding and Junie Bowen.
Warnie is survived by one son, Johnny Ray (and Bertha) James of Kermit, WV; three daughters, Sharon Pinson-Perry and (Joe) of Morris, Alabama, Bernice (and Dennis) Swisher of Kermit, WV, and Linda James of Phoenix, Arizona; eight grandchildren, Tina Wilson, Rhonda Burns, Michael Pinson, Kevin Justice, Shannon Justice, Melinda Pack, Johnathon James and Tiffany Hale; and thirteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Gospel Church of God In Jesus Christ on the left hand fork of Marrowbone with burial to follow in the Mt. Raymond Muncy, age 62 of Martin County, passed away Friday evening, February 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Martin, Kentucky. Raymond was born August 4,1952. He was the son of the late Homer and Grace (Maynard) Muncy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Lowe and Lorene Jude.
He is survived by three brothers; Lowell Muncy of Ulysses, Ky., Homer Muncy, and Phillip Muncy, both of Pilgrim, Ky; one sister, Becky Fields of Inez, Ky. He is also survived by one son, Michael (and Pam) Muncy of Louisa, Ky; two daughters; Michelle (and Gary Joe) McCoy of Pilgrim, Ky., and Grace (and Shurlin) McCoy also of Pilgrim, Ky; six grandchildren, Amethyst Muncy, Blake and Libby McCoy, Whitney, Hillary and Aaden McCoy.
Raymond was loved, and showed love to his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed in our lives. He was a wise and magnificent man.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Muncy Family Cemetery at Meathouse. Phillip Kirk will officiate. Clyde Collins, age 88 of Van Lear, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at River View Health Care Center in Prestonsburg. Born June 12, 1926 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late McKinley Collins and Callie Daniels Collins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae Collins {March 11, 2002}; two brothers, Raymond and Carl Collins; and two sisters, Maggie Penix and Lois May. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Vanhoose of Tutor Key, KY and Sheila Collins of Van Lear, KY; one sister, Mary Ferguson of Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren also survive.
Clyde was a retired coal miner and was of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel R. Moore, step-son, Roger Moore, step-daughter, Linda G. Moore, one brother Harvey Maynard and three sisters; Ada Muncy, Sadie Jude and Hazel Fletcher.
She is survived by one son, Samuel Darrell(Rachel) Moore of Pilgrim, Ky., one daughter, Diana (Marshall) Fannin of Pilgrim, Ky., one brother; Lewis Maynard of Inez, Ky., three sisters; Elsie Mitchum of Matewan W.V., Ruby Fletcher of Lovely, Ky., and Earnestine Moore of Warfield, Ky., eight grandchildren; Rana Preece, Alexie and Sam Moore, Chelsea Gamble, Amber Harmon, Jason Varney, Angie Williams and Katrina Woodard, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Betty Keel, age 66 of Paintsville, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her residence. Born March 5, 1948 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Florine Daniels. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Keel {April 30, 2005}; four brothers, Doug Daniels, Wayne Hughes, John Michael Hughes and Rick Hughes; and two sisters, Izora Ruth Hill and Kathy Ward. She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Keel of Van Lear; one son, Timothy Keel of Eddyville, KY; two sisters, Deidra Hughes of Paintsville and Patricia Gaye Justice also of Paintsville; and six grandchildren also survive.

Born January 31,1935 in Johnson County, he was the son of the late John McGinnis and Hazel “Perkey” McGinnis. In addition to his parents, he's preceded in death by wife, Sylvia Blackburn McGinnis ; four brothers, Henry, James B. and Enoch McGinnis and Everett Lee “Bob” Young. one sister Vina Davis. He is survived by one daughter, Brenda McGinnis (James) Johnston of Huntington, W.V.; three brothers, Joe McGinnis of Blaine, Ollie McGinnis of Inez and Kenton McGinnis of Davella. Six sisters, Stella Chapman Goble of Inez, Beatrice Chapman of Michigan , Lushie Preece of Inez, Icle Copley of Albemarle N.C , Ida Faye Goble of Inez and Mary Ellen Webb of Louisa. Four grandchildren; Laura Harrigan, Jennifer Davison, Jessica Johnston and Jimmy Johnston; nine great grandchildren; James, Joshua, Megan, Isabella, Jacob, Justin, Nathan, Jayden and Will, a host of nieces, nephews and friends and one special friend Norma Jean Maynard of Inez.
He was an avid golfer and a member of the Inez Church of Christ.

Born March 12, 1962 in Wabash, Indiana she was the daughter of the late John Dollarhide and Maggie Spears Dollarhide. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, David Burchett. She is survived by her husband, James Cantrell of Van Lear; one son, Michael David Burchett of Van Lear; one brother, Billy Dollarhide of Van Lear; two sisters, Mary Mitchell and Clara Booth, both of Wabash, Indiana; mother-in-law, Lois Webb Pelphrey; father-in-law, Richard Pelphrey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven and Billy Reed. He is survived by two brothers, Ricky Reed of Hode, Ky. and Arnold Jay Reed of Salyersville, Ky., and two sisters, Barbara Stacy and Bertha Jane “Penny” Stacy both of Inez, Ky.
