                                                   July

Aaron “Uncle A” Hale went to be with the Lord on July 31st, 2016 at his home with family gathered around him. He was born March 11th, 1924 to the late Julius and Mary Staton Hale.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Helen Taylor Jude Hale, his wife Gladys Dials Hale, two sisters: Vicie Elkins and Eula Maynard Dillon, and three brothers: Earnest, Arthur, and T. J. Hale. He is survived by his stepson Larry (Sheppy) Jude, stepdaughter Kate (Marc Depree) Jude, and numerous nephews, nieces, and other family.

Aaron accepted Jesus as his Savior and was a faithful member of Buck Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. He enjoyed attending there and visiting other churches.  He was especially fond of attending the Sardis Association meeting held in Pike County where he could fellowship with many of his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Aaron served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corp. He served during WWII in Guam and China.

Aaron’s wisdom and strength of character set an example for those around him. Never one to complain, he was always concerned with the well-being of others. He was especially concerned for those who had not given their life to the Lord.

We are grateful to those who visited him and prayed for him over the last few months. We are thankful to God for allowing us to be a part of his life.  We will cherish the memories of him and will miss him dearly.
