Denny Johnson

1952 - 2016

"It's better felt than told."

On January 1, 1952, in Louisa, Kentucky, Irene Johnson gave birth to a son, Bennie. Unbeknownst to her or her husband, James, a second son would follow minutes later. Yes, Denny Johnson was the son neither of them expected.

Seventeen years later, Denny met and would eventually marry the love of his life, Olivean Mollett. They had three children, Annette, Scottie Lynn, and Paul Matthew. Denny worked his entire life as a proud coal miner to provide his family with everything they could ever need.

In 1976, Denny gave his life to the Lord and forever changed the course of his family's life. It took one week for Olivean to surrender her life to Lord as well. As a result, all three children as well as their grandchildren and great-grandchildren would be brought up in The Way. He became an ordained preacher in 1980.
