Pauline Davis Tackett, age 74 of Tutor Key, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Born September 22, 1946 in Kerz, Kentucky to the late Sam Davis and Malta Hall Bailey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Davis; two sisters: Deloris Slone and Vera Bradley.
She is survived by one son, Mark Reffett and wife, Debra of Trenton, Texas; two daughters: Melanie Denise Hall and husband, Eric of Tutor Key, Kentucky, Jodi Lynn Collins and husband, Jeff of Meally, Kentucky; six grandchildren: Alex Reffett, Alexandra Burns, Jacob Collins, Noah Collins, Luke Collins, and Kinley Wells.
Pauline was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paintsville in addition to the Paintsville Alumni Association.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Seth Carter will officiate. Friends may visit at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00-9:00pm and on Tuesday after 9:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Janice Hitchcock, age 81 of Paintsville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Born April 13, 1939 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Sam Fitch and Lillie Daniels. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Bill Tom Hitchcock.
She is survived by one son, David Hitchcock of Flat Gap, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Rachel Hitchcock of River, Kentucky, Derrick Hitchcock of River, Kentucky, Byron Hitchcock and his wife, Lauren of West Van Lear, Kentucky, and Heath Hitchcock of Ohio; one step grandson, Zachery Cochran of Pikeville, Kentucky. Special caretakers, Kathy McCoart and Brenda Slone also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Tommy Meade will officiate. Friends may visit at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00am until time of services at 1:00pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.

Ruthie Mae Stinson, age 79 of Flat Gap, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born August 31, 1941 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Skaggs and Esta (Lewis) Skaggs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Holbrook and second husband, Charles Stinson; one son, Johnny Holbrook; son in law, James Detillion; and several brothers and sisters.
Ruthie is survived by one son, Paul Holbrook and his wife, Leshia of Flat Gap, Kentucky; one daughter, Carol Detillion of Chillicothe, Ohio; daughter in law, Cammy Holbrook of Paintsville, Kentucky; one brother, Kenneth Skaggs of Tennessee; special niece and nephew, Maddie and Lee; special great grand daughter, Gracie; seven greandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
She retired from the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where she worked as a cook.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville. Tim Salyers will officiate. Friends may visit the Phelps & Son Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Tuesday and anytime prior to services on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.

Billy S. Branham, age 58 of Thelma, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his residence. Born August 27, 1962 to the late J.C. And Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Branham. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Randy Branham; and a nephew, John Branham.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pat Scott Branham; two children: Amy (Jamie) West and B.J. (Angie) Branham, both of Paintsville, Kentucky; stepdaughters: Amanda (Bracken) Salyer of Huntington, West Virginia, and Heather (Ronnie) Bangham of Paintsville, Kentucky; two sisters: Karen (Howard) Adkins and Carla (Keith) Skeens, both of Louisa, Kentucky; three brothers: Charles Branham, John (Sandra) Branham, and Jeff (Lindsey) Branham, all of Louisa, Kentucky. Four grandsons and three granddaughters also survive.
Per the family's request there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Phelps & Son Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses by calling (606) 789-8989. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
